I love connecting students and families with the information needed to identify colleges that fit their individual needs, desires, and goals. My main priority is about finding options. There are so many different types of colleges and I enjoy researching the right fit for each student based on their strengths, interests and financial needs. I take great pride in getting to know each student and their families. I am passionate about higher education – always researching new programs and schools that could potentially match my clients. My goal is simple: to help you navigate the often confusing landscape of college planning that will ultimately enroll you at a school you will love.
I earned my Master’s degree in Public Administration from American University and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Spanish and Political Science from Radford University. As an undergraduate I was able to study abroad at the Estudio Sampere language immersion program in Spain, and I have experience advising students about study abroad programs offered at many universities.
My career in higher education began after college as an assistant director of undergraduate admissions at Radford University. I have served in the field of higher education in a variety of roles. I have worked in higher education as the admissions manager of the graduate program Communication, Culture and Technology at Georgetown University. I also worked as an academic advisor at Carroll County Community College assisting students with academic objectives to build a pattern of success extending beyond course and program scheduling.
I have earned a reputation as the coach a student and their family looks for when seeking advice on the college admissions process.
